2013 Fulbright English Teaching Assistants

Kelly McNulty is originally from Dresher, PA and graduated from Lafayette College in May 2011 with BA degrees in Anthropology/Sociology and American Studies. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) at Trinity Washington University, and she has previously taught at a public charter school in Washington, D.C. Kelly is excited to return to South Africa after studying for a semester in Cape Town in 2010 and is happy to call PE her new home!

Ashley Millhouse is originally from Moorpark, CA and graduated from Wake Forest University in May 2012 with a BA in History. She first fell in love with South Africa after a service trip teaching in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. Last summer, she researched the teaching of apartheid in Kwa-Zulu Natal secondary school history classes. She is excited to experience the Eastern Cape!
From January to October 2013, Ashley and Kelly will build upon the work of the previous ETAs, teaching a literacy class to 8th and 9th graders and developing such sides projects as: developing resources for matric students and university applicants, monitoring the Library Prefect program, managing the OBF performing arts group, and editing Walmer Breaking News.

Alice and Colleen created the Libwin electronic catalog in the library and began the Health Fair at Walmer HS.
